Erythroxylum coca
Mambe is a fine powder obtained from roasting, grinding and sifting freshly harvested coca leaves from the Amazon mixing them with ashes of Cecropia as an alkaline additive. Our Mambe is traditionally prepared by the Bora indians where the powder is an integral part of their lives from both a cultural and medicinal perspective.
Mambe is chewed mostly by men and acts as a mild stimulant and suppresses hunger, thirst, pain and fatigue.
